Job Title: Retail & Digital Marketing Associate

Location: Traverse City, MI (144 Hall Street, Unit #5, Traverse City, MI 49684)

Type: In-person. Part-time, roughly 30 hours per week

OVERVIEW: North Coast Golf Shop is our flagship retail experience for North Coast Golf Company — a lifestyle-driven golf brand inspired by the Great Lakes, good times, endless adventures, and a love for the game of golf (even if you’re not good at it). We design stylish golf gloves, accessories & apparel that combines modern & vintage designs with our love for the North Coast.  At our core, we make great product, tell interesting stories and build community. Our flagship store is equal parts retail shop, local hangout, and brand clubhouse.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who can blend retail know-how with digital marketing savvy. Someone friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic about the brand, helping customers and being part of a growing, community-forward retail experience. Someone who’s down to chat with locals & tourists in-store one minute and ready to dive into content creation the next.

Job Roles & Responsibilites

In-Store:

  • Open/close the shop and keep it looking fresh
  • Greet and assist customers with a warm, helpful attitude
  • Learn and share product knowledge (sizing, features, gift
    suggestions, where to adventure)
  • Operate the point-of-sale system (Shopify POS)
  • Restock merchandise and maintain display organization
  • Keep the store clean, tidy, and welcoming
  • Support events or activations in the shop as needed
  • Represent the North Coast brand with professionalism and
    good vibes

    Digital Marketing:
  • Help plan & create content for North Coast including the use of Instagram and TikTok (stories, Reels, tags, collabs — all of it) along with brand emails & much more.
  • Share what’s happening in-store in a fun and creative way
  • Capture content of customers, products, and events
  • Help build community through events, comments, DMs, and collaborations
  • Help with any in-person events within 2 hours of Traverse City
Experience/Qualifications
  • Retail experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Digital marketing skills, including having know-how of relevant software like Canva, Photoshop/Lightroom, Shopify, Klaviyo, Postscript & more. (preferred, but not required)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok (especially Reels)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Creative eye for capturing moments & good vibes
  • Reliable, friendly, organized and ready to take initiative
  • Interested in golf, North Coast adventures, lifestyle brands, or small business culture (bonus!)
Schedule & Pay
  • $20-25 per hour, negotiable (depending on skill set)
  • Flexible hours, including weekends (shop will be open 5-6
    days per week)

Job Title: Remote Sales Representative

Location: Remote, willing to travel if needed.

Type: Part-Time, roughly 20 hours per week

Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for a highly-motivated and passionate part-time Sales Rep to join our growing team. In this role you will support sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with green grass, retail, and big box accounts in your region and internationally as required. North Coast is well-positioned for a year of dramatic growth and the sales team will be critical for achieving revenue goals for 2025 and beyond.

Job Roles & Responsibilites
  • Call on customers and travel throughout designated territory to show and sell wholesale and custom North Coast products to both existing and new customers
  • Provide wholesale account management including product presentations, business planning, order entry, and other actions related to sales execution
  • Nurture existing customer relationships and potential customers alike
  • Achieve annual sales volume targets for territory and key accounts
  • Provide VP of Operations and Founder/CEO with accurate order details, custom product requirements (design & logo), and order quantities
  • Work closely with internal team members to provide product feedback aimed at identifying product or merchandising needs to find opportunities for increased sales and SKU expansion
  • Support build out of sales tools and presentations highlighting North Coast brand and products
  • Support the logistics pipeline of our wholesale business to ensure on-time delivery of all customer orders

Travel may be fairly significant in this role, with travel to all accounts and tradeshows within the defined territory as necessary. The right candidate will be an excellent communicator who manages their time well and is a great collaborator.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience, golf industry strongly preferred
  • 2+ years experience in customer service or sales facing position
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Passion for golf and familiarity with the North Coast Golf Co. brand preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to convincingly present product and brand using tools developed by the organization
